Create equitable representation within academia, industry and government for women students and professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Using a variety of strategies and programs to help girls and women succeed and achieve their long-term goals in STEM, including:
creating a mentorship network for girls and women interested in STEM
hosting networking events with successful professionals for girls and women in STEM
highlighting successful female role models in STEM
providing professional development opportunities for girls and women in STEM
working in partnership with higher education institutions, corporations, and government entities to bridge the gaps for women in the STEM workforce
**Although targeted towards improving the status quo for STEM women students and professionals, EWIS is gender inclusive and welcomes students and professionals from across disciplines to join and benefit from the EWIS network.
